Hello to all readers.

You will see from my website that I have had it drastically updated.

The fair organising business is more than hectic and I am increasingly finding it difficult to change my website regularly so I took the decision to add all of my stock.

I am working on items that are not Carlton Ware at the moment so these should be up there soon.

Carlton Ware World - the club for Carlton enthusiasts is going from strength to strength. Harvey is doing a tremendous job keeping the site fresh and informative. Go to www.carltonwareworld.com to register and keep yourself up to date with everything Carlton Ware.

The meeting in Upton on Severn was a great success. You can read all about it on the club site. There were lots of Carlton Ware enthusiasts present and with so much to do over the weekend it made it all the more special.

Lots of those who attended managed to get to the Flea and Collectors Fair at Malvern on the Sunday. It was a quick hello from me when I did see them as it was a very busy fair with over 400 sellers and over 3000 buyers. You can guess some of the problems we had especially as it was so hot. (Us UK residents are never satisfied - first its too cold, then its too wet and then its too hot!).

I managed to be in Scotland just at the right time and had a look at the fantastic outside decorated ginger jar that was being sold by Bonhams. This is what is great about doing research yourself. You get to handle the items and get a proper feel for Carlton Ware. My thanks to Ian at Bonhams for allowing me to preview the piece before the proper view day.

This is such an important move forward. To be able to identify one of the artists that used blanks from Carlton Ware. I was also lucky enough to get to know George from Edinburgh at a course I was on the previous week. He told me more about Ms Watt. All information has been passed to Harvey so that we can expand our knowledge even further.

What Now

Don't forget the Carlton Ware World Conference in Stoke in October. Eric Knowles is giving a talk that will be fantastic. He is such fun. I bumped into Eric at Newark a few months ago, he is working just as hard as ever. We had a quick chat about Carlton Ware before we both rushed off in opposite directions.
